Holidays During the New Normal

During this time of year, with the holidays right around the corner, this new normal we have learned or tried to adjust which can be difficult for some. Some people are able to see their families while others may not be able to due to Covid and the number of cases increasing. In this situation, whether you are vaccinated or not, for some, their choice can make them feel left out or not be able to see their family due to their choice of taking the vaccine or not. In another case, some people may not be able to see their family as they may live in an area, further away, with a numerous amount of cases. If that is the case for any of you reading this, I am going to share some ideas to help make the holidays extra special if you are not able to see your family.

Video Chatting or Calling

If your family lives in an area far away with many cases of Covid increasing by day, so you are not able to go visit your family, you'd be surprise what video chatting or calling can do to put a smile on their face. If you are a parent and have a son or daughter who can't come visit you, as you live far away in an area with many cases, you should definitely consider this option. Wish them a Merry Christmas, call them because you miss them, whatever the reason may be just do it. Video chatting or calling them may seem like a small thing but this can really put a smile on their face.

Send Them A Gift

You can send them a gift through Amazon, the mail, or any option of your choice. This is a great way to surprise them on Christmas day. It would be meaningful and if they aren't expecting this, it can really brighten their day. This is a great way to show that you were thinking of them and wanted to get them a gift to express that. It doesn't have to cost much, it's the thought that matters most.

Plan Your Next Visit

This is something that may take time depending on where you live and the number of cases but have hope. Talk and plan your next visit. You can talk about when you would like to go, what you would like to do when you visit and how long you would like to stay for. Today it's hard to know when you will be able to see your family again but have hope. It's important to stay positive.

Take time to consider these options for your loved ones who live far away or you are unable to see them due to the high cases of Covid in their area. You'd be surprise how these little things can make their day extra special.
